Mozilla research grants to "answer questions like: How does the community understand and refer to AI? Is AI shifting power and/or meeting people’s needs? Does data collection and machine learning present more of a local threat or a local opportunity? And, What opportunities are there to engage with technology builders or regulators on these threats and opportunities?"

#OpenAI (ChatGPT) asked for proposals to research this: "Democratic inputs to AI".
Via @ademoor, I joined a (mostly Dutch) proposal. Last week, we had an inspiring kick-off with the teams of OpenAI and the other 9 selected projects.
Looking forward to learning many new things while contributing experiences with online collaboration processes for governance and policy debates!
